From the Pastor
When you looked at the picture of the reflection on our top page, did you know you were looking at a reflection of ginko trees and buildings? Probably not. But now you know, because you can see a picture of the real thing on this page.
While we are in this world we can read the Bible to find out many things about God, about His great love for us, and about what heaven will be like. But now we only see a reflection. Here we cannot see God face to face. Here we cannot experience heaven. Nobody has a photo album of heaven to show us.
Believers in Jesus will go to heaven when they die. Then they will be in God’s holy presence with all the angels and all the believers who have finished their earthly life. Then they will experience FULL LIFE. Life with God. Life without any sin or pain or sorrow.
Paul, one of Jesus’ apostles, said it this way: “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” (1 Corinthians 12:13).
As a Christian, I am looking forward to going to heaven someday. As a pastor, I study and teach the Bible, so that many others yearn for the real thing too.
