From the Pastor
This year’s LECC Summer Bible Camp was held in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture. Some people stayed in tents, some in tree houses, and some in cabins. The theme of this year’s camp was “Fellowship” and we were able to visit with many people we don’t get to see very often. We also worked together as a good team to prepare some of the meals.
The Bible teaches us that Christians are one in Christ: “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12),
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1Corinthians 12:27).”
At camp, we learned the importance of helping each other. Just like other parts of the body help to work when one injures a leg, many including young people served in place of those who were not able to work. This Bible Camp would not have been as successful if it weren’t for the help of these willing people.
The same is true in our church. Each member has different talents, with different perspectives and abilities. The church is made up of all these different parts. Inside this church, Christians love, encourage and discipline each other. This is how the church, which is Jesus’ body, is able to grow in a righteous and God- pleasing way. Please come and visit us at our Church and enjoy the this true peace.
